Dragonfly Day Nursery is located within the heart of a multicultural community. We welcome and respect all members of our community regardless of race, gender, ability, nationality, religion or social background.

We aim to provide a secure and accessible environment in which all our children can grow, develop and flourish within and all contributions are considered and valued.

The Nursery provides materials which have been chosen to broaden children’s knowledge, understanding and concepts of people, cultures, diversities and the world. Opportunities will be given to all our children to explore and value the differences between themselves and others. We encourage children to respect themselves and others by providing positive images and messages about all people.

We celebrate festivals and look at different cultures by planning activities appropriate to the age of our children’s groups with the support of our parents.

Through our partnership with parents we aim to ensure we respect cultural differences in terms of dietary or medical needs.

For those who speak English as an additional language we aim to be completely inclusive towards all children and their families.

An integral part of child development through the EYFS is ensuring we commit ourselves to achieving our Equal Opportunities Policy.

Our waiting list is operated on a first come first served basis, with priority being given to those seeking a full time place and those with siblings already attending the nursery. No other priorities or preferences are made.
